VICTORY IN CHILE
It is good to be able to report that the communist plans have suffered a severe defeat in Chile. Enlightened Americans held their breath while the Chilean voters went to the polls on Friday, September 4, to elect a president. They were aware that the stakes in this election were very high, not only for the people of Chile, but for the people of the United States and for freedom everywhere. When the results showed a devastating defeat for the Socialist-Communist candidate, Salvador Allende, there was a great sigh of relief.

Power by the Ballot Box
It is only during recent years that the communists have taught that it is possible to come to power via the ballot box. At present this point of view is strongly advanced by the Russian and American Communists and repudiated by the Chinese Communists who cling to the classical Marxist-Leninist doctrine of the necessity of violent seizure of power. Chile was to be the test case to prove the Russian Communists right.
In Chile the Communist Party entered into a coalition with the Socialist Party and other radical Left Wing groups to form a Popular Action Front. The presidential candidate of this groups was Senor Salvador Allende, an announced Socialist, who welcomed Communist association and support.
The Communists did everything in their power to convince the people of Chile that they were law abiding and peaceful and could be trusted to refrain from violence. Their role in the coalition appeared to be a minor one. Their propaganda concentrated upon the evils of American imperialism and its servants, the leaders of Chile, while they glamorized Cuba and Fidel Castro. It was the old technique of the iron fist in the velvet glove. The objective was to dispel the fears of the Chilean people caused by the doctrines and history of communism and to deceive them concerning the nature and objectives of communism so that they could be voted into power. Once in power they could them put their brutal program into operation. The record shows that the people of Chile, particularly the women, were not deceived.

The Role of the Women
Recently we observed the role played by the women in the defeat of communism in Brazil. Once again in this Chilean election the women revealed their devotion to the maintenance of the family, religious freedom, and democratic liberties. Whereas almost half the men voted for the Communist-Socialist coalition candidate, the women repudiated him by a majority of more than two to one. Thank God for women with their tender hearts and their sensitivity to a threat to their children.

If Communism Had Won
If communism had triumphed in Chile, the consequences would have been calamitous. The major victims would have been the people of Chile themselves. From the doctrines and history of communism, the following events would almost certainly have taken place:

(1) The democratic system would have been destroyed and this would have been the last free election.
(2) By progressive steps the dictatorship of the Communist Party would have been established with the elimination of all the more moderate elements within the coalition, as happened in Cuba. Most of the members of Fidel Castro’s First Cuban government are now either executed, prisoners, or refugees and a similar sequence could have been expected in Chile.
(3) The firing squads would have been busy with the execution of alleged counter-revolutionaries.
(4) Political prisons would have been established and crammed with thousands of Chilean citizens.
(5) A flood of refugees would have spread throughout all the Western Hemisphere as people fled from the communist terror.
(6) All religious education would have been taken over by the communists so that the schools, including the church schools, became sources for indoctrination in atheism and communism and hatred of the U.S.A.
(7) The family would have been weakened as children became conscious or unconscious espionage agents within the family circle.
(8) Agricultural production would have fallen drastically.
(9) Industry would have been socialized, the communist bureaucracy would have multiplied, and productive efficiency would have decreased.
(10) American investments would have been expropriated with token compensation or no compensation whatever.
(11) Chile would have become a training camp for revolutionaries and saboteurs for all other Latin American countries.
(12) Chile would have re-established relations with Cuba, made a pact with Communist Russia, and become an additional Russian military base in the Western Hemisphere. The long coastline would have been ideal for submarine bases.
(13) The United States would have been involved in enormous expenditures in the effort to restrain communist power and the danger of war would have greatly increased.
(14) The World Communist Conspiracy would have won a major victory in its war to conquer the U.S.A.

We should fall on our knees and thank God that this danger has been averted.

The Lesson
The Chilean experience illustrates again that the right knowledge, in the right place, at the right time is the most positive and effective anti-communist program. The Communist Party of Chile went to great pains to conceal its violent and dictatorial nature behind the mask of lawfulness and peace. They were so successful that they drew down on their heads the wrath of the Chinese Communist Party. The Chinese Communists wrote them a long letter in which they accused them of departing from the violent Marxist-Leninist path so effectively traveled by Fidel Castro in Cuba and they published this letter to the Communist Parties of the world. The Chilean Communists felt it imperative to answer the charges of their Chinese comrades so they prepared a long article outlining their specific strategy and objectives. Their purpose was to defend themselves before the world communist movement. In this article they revealed things which they were keeping secret from the Chilean people. They stated specifically that the Communist Party was the dominant force within the popular front coalition. They stated that once they were in power they would follow in Chile the pattern established by Fidel Castro in Cuba. This information was designed for the world communist movement and not for the people of Chile. Consequently it was not published in Chile but in "Political Affairs", the theoretical journal of the American Communist Party. The article appeared in English. I read it.
Realizing the significance of this confession, the Christian Anti-Communism Crusade notified friends in Chile of the publication and content of this article. At their request we sent it to Chile where it was translated into Spanish and received the widest circulation in the press. Our correspondent from Chile writes: "What is very important for you to know is that the copy of the article published in ‘Political Affairs’ has had a great success among us. ‘El Mercurio’ which is the most respectable newspaper in our country and the oldest in South America (nearly 150 years) had published an editorial and comments about it and has published it ‘in extenso’ in three parts, as you will see by the attached clippings. These publications and comments have, I believe, an extraordinary importance since they have shown the lack of truth in the information given by the FRAP (Frente Revolutionario de Accion Popular), formed basically by the Communist and Socialist Parties, to the public."
While it is not possible to measure in votes the fruit of this information, there can be no doubt it played a significant part in the overwhelming popular rejection of the communists. Once again the Christian Anti-Communism Crusade has contributed to communist defeat and justified the confidence and support it has received from so many.
This victory emphasizes the correctness of our thesis that where people still have freedom of choice, knowledge of the true nature and purposes of communism is the most effective program against it. Knowledge of the truth is the answer to deceit. We must increase our activity until the truth concerning communism is known in every corner of the earth.

NEW CRUSADE DIMENSION; MUSIC
Every great movement throughout history has expressed its inspiration in music.
The Anti-Communist movement is young and music has not played a large part in its development to date. This contrasts with the Communist movement which has made great use of such singers and Paul Robeson and Pete Seeger.
The Christian Anti-Communism Crusade is adding a new dimension to its activity, the dimension of music.
We are satisfied with nothing less than the best ad we have followed this policy in securing the services of Janet Greene as music director. Janet is a vivacious and beautiful young lady of remarkable musical talent. For the past several years, she had been the leading TV star of Columbus, Ohio where her early morning program, Cinderella, has delighted the hearts of the children. In competition with Captain Kangaroo and the Today show, her program Cinderella had the highest rating.
Conscious of the magnitude of the Communist danger, at considerable personal financial sacrifice, she had surrendered her TV program to become music director of the Christian Anti-Communism Crusade. Her family had accompanied her to California and they now make their home in Long Beach. She has the complete support of her husband and charming daughters.
Questioned by newsmen in Columbus as to why she was making the move, Janet made the following statement:

Janet Greene’s Statement to the Press
I am very grateful to have had the privilege of growing up in the United States of America. I was reared in a Christian home with the love of my parents and my brother and sister. I have been able to follow my own personal chosen field of singing and acting. I studied and worked hard when I was young to develop my talents and through these efforts I obtained my own television show in Columbus, Ohio where I have been very happy. God has been very good to me. It has been my pleasure to work with the children of Columbus on my TV show, and I feel a great affection for them. I shall certainly miss them. My husband and I have two children of our own, and it is my concern for their future that has prompted my to leave my TV career.
Our American heritage and Christian religion are in great jeopardy. The enemy is Communism. Communism denies the existence of God, the individual right to freedom of choice and woman’s right to raise her own family as God intended. The Communists plan to take our children away from us. They are doing this in Cuba, just 90 miles of our shores. I have listened to the tape recording of the pathetic pleas of Juanita Castro (Fidel’s sister) for the United States to help them regain their freedom. She has told of children spying and informing on their own parents, of slave labor and of horrible conditions under which all the people live. I do not wish this to be the future of my children.
Recently women have played a major role in victories over Communism. The defeats surrendered by the Communists in Brazil and Chile were due in large measure to the women of those countries. I am hoping and praying that the women of the United States will become aroused and save our country and our children from the tyranny of Communism. I am dedicating my voice and musical talents to help bring this to pass.
Janet will be available to present a program for meetings in the Southern California area. She had developed a well-balanced presentation suitable for all, but especially for women and children. It includes patriotic, anti-communist and children’s songs, a message on tape from Juanita Castro, sister of the infamous Fidel, and her own inspiring Challenge.
This program is ideal for meetings of PTA’s, Womens Clubs, or church groups. It is also most suitable for gatherings in the home. I would urge our friends to invite to their homes their neighbors and friends and Janet will entertain and speak to them. They will be eternally grateful to you for the opportunity.

AWARD WINNING ESSAYS: By Students of Washington, D.C. School
Following the Washington D.C. School of Anti-Communism, an Essay Competition for the students was announced. The subject was "My Role in the Battle for Freedom". The judges were Herbert Philbrick, Joost Sluis, M.D., and Fred Schwarz, M.D.
Mrs. Truman Wood donated the $100 check which she received from the Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge along with the George Washington award.
The winning essay was submitted by David Hanson of the Prairie Bible Institute, Three Hills, Alberta and is published below. Competition was very close and other judges may have decided differently. This is clear from the essay by Julie Anne Howell which was ranked second.

My Role in the Fight for Freedom
By David Hanson

"There is one reason why I prefer Canadians to Americans. The Canadians are not too concerned about communism, whereas the Americans are overly worried about it."
These are the words of an uncle of mine who is a minister in Iowa.
I began asking myself, "Is this really a good feature of Canadians when the Communist Party is running for power in Canada, and when a party which is a captive organization of the Communist Party, exercises some power in the Canadian Government?"
With these questions running through my mind, my uncle’s words only caused me to determine that Canadians as well as the Americans should be concerned about the communist threat to freedom.
I first became concerned about communism in April, 1962, after I had read Dr. Schwarz’s book You Can Trust the Communists (to be Communists). Before this I had often wondered what was wrong with communism. Dr. Schwarz presented the facts on the true nature of communism so plainly and forcefully, that I was not only awakened to the communist threat, but I decided to see what I could do to awaken the Canadian people to this menace.
I wrote to the publishing house, which published Dr. Schwarz’s book, and secured more books. Later, while browsing through a library, I came across some of the booklets put out by the Christian Anti-Communism Crusade. This was the first I had heard of the Crusade. I decided to write to Dr. Schwarz about obtaining books for distribution, and soon I had the desired books.
Immediately I set out to sell the books house to house in the town of Three Hills, Alberta, and before too long I had covered the entire town. Yet this in itself did not seem to be enough for I felt that this program needed some follow-up.
For some time I had been thinking of starting anti-communism classes in various towns around Three Hills, but my problem was that of a means of transportation. Finally I mentioned my plans to a friend who promised that he would help me as much as possible. From this time on I have progressed greatly in my program.
Presently I am lining up meetings in various churches in and around Three Hills where I will be showing films. Through the showing of these films, I hope to awaken the people’s interest in the subject of communism so that I will be able to set up various anti-communism classes. The purpose of these classes will be to present the true nature of communism to the people, for I believe that knowledge on the true nature of communism will equip people, dedicated to freedom, to take sane and effective action against communism which will result in victory over the enemy.
This is how I hope to awaken Canadians to the menace, communism, which threatens their liberty, and to persuade them to dedicate themselves to the fight for freedom.

My Role in the Battle for Freedom
By Julie Anne Howell

John Philpot Curran, one of my ancestors, delivered a little-known but immortal speech at Dublin, Ireland, nearly two centuries ago. In that speech he passed on to me the inspiration of "my role" in the extermination of communism.
In 1790, Curran said, "It is the common fate of the indolent to see their rights become a prey to the active. The condition upon which God hath given liberty to man is eternal vigilance; which condition if he break, servitude is at once the consequence of his crime and punishment of his guilt."
The past twenty years have demonstrated the terrible truth of Curran’s warning.
Nation after nation has become a slave-state under the knout of communism. Some were entrapped by flattery, blandishments, false promises, bribery and Soviet infiltration. Others were brutally murdered and their corpses kicked into the cesspools of Eastern Europe and Asia. Some blithely unaware of their plight, assisted in their own enslavement voluntarily surrendering their freedom piecemeal–a small concession here, a little appeasement there, just one more small intrusion–until that bitter moment in time struck as communism welded another bleak, cold, hopeless iron-hell around another people.
I believe that that can happen here!
I believe the process is well advanced.
I believe the well-documented plan for overcoming the United States is proceeding smoothly according to the Soviet timetable!
My role, perceived at this moment, is to become exactingly proficient in recognizing symptoms of the communistic infection and to enlist the full-hearted support of my young contemporaries in eradicating its plague-like spreading to its deadly culmination.
That role demands vigilance: Vigilance trained, logical, evaluating, and selective; Vigilance familiar with the cunning, devious tentacles oozing in to destroy us.
To gain wisdom, I have been expertly guided by the people at the Washington School of Anti-Communism.
There is a wealth of their knowledge and experience before ne mow on recorded tapes and in books and pamphlets they provided. These I will study continuously in the confidence that I, too, will effectively combat the theft of our freedom.
I will strive to avoid the pitfalls of the alarmist, the uninformed, the frightened. Rather, I shall attempt to generate in others a sincere, heart-full desire to protect our precious American heritage. Calmly I shall make them see what I see.
It is one of God’s wondrous miracles that the United States so swiftly grew to unrivaled greatness. Without conquest, tribute, aggression or design we find ourselves garbed in the cloak of leadership. Unasked for, it fell upon us.
I firmly believe that God has elected us to exercise His principles, to purge His earth of the dismal unholiness of communism.
I am humbly grateful to be a part of His plan, and, in His willingness, I pray that I may contribute much to preserve His gift of magnificent freedom.

CUBA ENSLAVED
By Juanita Castro (Sister of Fidel Castro)

I lived in Cuba until just a few days ago, and because I hold the Mexican people in high esteem I have decided to make this statement.
It is very hard for me to speak in public, particularly about scenes related to my own family. However, my conscience does not permit me to remain silent about one cause, Cuba. This is particularly true because I know so deeply the matter and the persons responsible for the situation my country is going through. My brothers, Fidel and Raul, were the principal leaders of the revolution against the dictator, Batista. My brother, Fidel, filled the Cuban people with hopes promising to eliminate forever injustices, terror, and domination by the military. He guaranteed free elections. In short, all that the people needed to be happy.
I, like many Cubans, making this cause my own, helped all I could. First in Cuba and later in exile within the 26th of July movement I gathered funds to buy weapons, food and medicine for the Cuban patriots who fought in the mountains of my own country. In this way we helped overthrow the existing regime so as to put in its place a system of freedom and social justice which was the fundamental basis for our struggle.

Early Enthusiasm
When the revolution was won and my brothers took the reins of power, I began to work with great enthusiasm. I dedicated my best effort to build hospitals and schools. I considered this to be one of the most immediate tasks to be performed by the revolutionary government. I worked for what I considered a just revolution until the middle of 1960, when I began to realize the way our revolution was going.

The Rude Awakening
We were to be the victims of deceit because in spite of the fact that Fidel publicly denied the communistic character of the revolution, we could see as days went by how the country was delivered to Russian imperialism. In the middle of 1960, I broke with the government. Sometime later the government stopped hiding its intentions and got out from behind the flag of the just revolution. In December, 1961, the Prime Minister of the revolutionary governments declared that he was a Marxist-Leninist.
I and the great majority of the Cubans felt that this was not the revolution that we had fought for. I and the great majority of the Cubans who had believed in the promises of Fidel when he spoke about giving back to Cuba liberty and justice knew that our ideals had been betrayed. There are many persons in the government and in the armed forces who are against the communist government. They know perfectly well how and when the revolution was betrayed.

Anti-Communist Activity
When I broke with the government, I did all I could against it. I helped to hide persons wanted by the infamous G-2, an organization comparable to the worst elements of Hitler’s Gestapo. I helped a lot of Cubans to leave the hell that Cuba is today. I helped to buy and hide weapons for the counter-revolutionary groups. I helped by sending food and medicine to political prisoners. I tried many times to save the lives of prisoners sentenced to be shot. I helped by keeping my contacts in high ranks of the government and obtaining information which I delivered to the Intelligence of the counter-revolution. I helped in every way I could, because I felt that I, better than most, knew that the revolution and the people had been fooled and betrayed.

Hunger
My country, Cuba, is a victim of a brutal dictatorship that only exists by means of terror and crime. I won’t speak about the lack of basic foods in Cuba today, for it is known to all. It’s enough to say that the famous ration book which serves as a means to control and ration food allows the following for a family of four, father, mother and two children. Milk–two cans per person every 15 days; meat–1/4 pound per person every week; sugar–three pounds per person every month; coffee–1/2 ounce per person per week; rice–six pounds per person per month; chicken–only for children under seven and people over 65; eggs–only for children under seven and people over 65. I won’t speak about the scarcity of clothes and shoes.

Disease
I won’t speak about the scarcity of medicine, even though most of us wonder all the time what became of the $63,000,000 worth of medicine that was sent as part of the exchange for the Bay of Pigs prisoners, for in Cuba children and adults die daily because of the lack of medicine.

Forced Labor
I won’t speak about the forced labor which the communists call voluntary. I won’t speak about the lack of freedom of the individual to choose his own work as the government decides where one is to work, at what salary, and under what conditions. The Communist Labor Unions, instead of providing security to the workers, have denied all workers’ rights.
I won’t speak about the military service which has been imposed even when Fidel himself kept asking the people over and over again, "Arms, what for?", "Soldiers, what for?". The worst thing about this military service is that it isn’t that at all. Instead one could label it as forced farm labor for the enlisted men are sent to the fields to perform different agricultural chores, getting a mere seven pesos a month.

Espionage, Terror and Panic
I do want to speak about the terror and panic prevailing in my country with children denouncing their own parents and friends. The committees for the defense of the revolution are made up of neighbors in each block who take notes and send minute accounts to the beasts of the G-2. Panic takes hold of a home when the G-2 monsters bang on their doors at any time of the day or the night. I know very well that this panic is felt not only by those opposed to the regime but also by the Army officers and other government officials. Friendship and confidence have disappeared. I know of members of the Army who do not agree with the government but who wouldn’t admit it to anyone out of fear of being turned in by their own men.

Persecution of the Church
The communists have not eliminated religious worship altogether because they feel it would be bad propaganda in the rest of the world. They did close up and confiscate all religious schools and expelled a large number of priests and nuns. A law prohibiting church attendance doesn’t actually exist, yet all those who visit churches are considered as enemies of the regime.
In connection with this, I can tell you about my person experience when in September of 1961 we were celebrating the feast of Our Lady of Charity. A permit had been granted in order that a procession could take place around the church. As soon as the procession which had been very well planned started, gangs organized by the government for such occasions appeared and brutally attacked those in the procession. I was in front, right next to the boy who was carrying the statue of Our Lady. I saw when the boy fell dead, hit by the militia or army. I really don’t know who fired the shot. The terribly sad thing was that they took the boy’s body and used it for propaganda purposes. They blamed all the disorder on the Catholics, emphasizing the fact that the boy was a member of Catholic Action.

Political Prisoners
I want to talk about the political prisoners whose only crime has been that of disagreeing with the communist regime. Some say there are 100,000 of them in the Cuban jails. Of course it is impossible for the man on the street to know the exact figure since the government guards these statistics with great zeal. I have been told by government officials connected with that department that there are about 75,000 political prisoners.
Nobody can imagine what these people are going through. They are victims of the most cruel treatment. I can assure you that the penitentiary system in Cuba has forgotten completely the humanity of the political prisoners.

Subversion in Latin America
As I explained before, I have a lot of friends connected with important people in the communist regime. Through them I was able to learn that Cuba is directing communist subversion in Latin America. I know of Latin Americans who enter Cuba with false papers; some through legal means, other in clandestine ships. These individuals were trained as guerillas and agitators and when ready, they were sent back to their respective countries. I know of flights carrying guns and personnel to hidden runways in Latin America. They also use ships and fishing boats. A friend, very well connected with the government whose name I cannot mention, told me that the Department of State Security has an important section dedicated exclusively to control centers of espionage and guerillas in Latin America. This section prepares false documents, trains personnel specializing in espionage and subversion, and prepares Cuban diplomats to work in countries that claim to be friends of Communist Cuba. The Cuban diplomatic couriers belong to this section. Their mission is to deliver instructions to the communist agents and to introduce guns and propaganda in friendly countries to be distributed not only in those countries but also in countries who have no relations with the Cuban government.
I was also able to learn that the Cuban Embassies in Latin America are nests of subversion and espionage. The section of the Department of State Security in charge of this work is called General Intelligence Bureau and its chief is Major Manuel Pinero Lasada, alias Red Beard.

A Prison
America does not know that Cuba is a giant prison surrounded by water. It does not know that the Cuban people are nailed to the cross of martyrdom imposed by international communism. Those who betrayed my country have delivered it to Russian imperialism which is exploiting and bleeding our beloved Cuba.

Organization of American States
It is my desire and that of all Cubans that in the next conference of the Organization of American States this organization shall take a definite action against the dictatorial government of Cuba, just as they did against the right wing dictatorial government of Trujillo. I know that the majority of the Latin American people believe in the self-determination of the people as a way of government. I believe that this determination is shown through the use of the vote by the people. Fidel promised that elections would take place eighteen months after the triumph of the revolution. Later, in order to avoid this, he gathered a huge crowd in the plaza and made them declare that they did not want elections. The history of the Latin American people is filled with dictators who gather crowds in plazas who shout "Yes" to anything suggested by the dictator.

Underground Groups
I know that there are groups in Cuba who are against the regime and that they are anxious to receive effective help as soon as possible. Because these groups are not powerful enough to overthrow the communist regime sustained by thousands of Russian troops, we hope that this plea is heard by our American sister nations so that a situation similar to Hungary in 1956 can be avoided in Cuba.
I would have liked to stay in Cuba and continue to cooperate in the anonymous fight of the Cuban people against the communist tyranny. However my situation became so bad in the last months, and I was forced to flee my country. I hope that the government of Mexico takes me as a political exile until I can return to a free Cuba.

POSITIVE PROGRAMS
Our opponents sometimes make the colossal mistake of accusing the Christian Anti-Communism Crusade of having no positive program. The truth is we are engaged in a wide variety of compassionate and educational activities. While we do not believe that humanitarian programs are the answer to communism, we do believe it is a Christian responsibility to alleviate hunger ans suffering as we have the opportunity. Our Lord said, "Inasmuch as ye have done it unto the least of these, my brethren, ye have done it unto Me." In this spirit we have enable our Indian friends and co-worker, Devananda Rao, to establish the Indian Christian orphanage. We support each of these boys for $10 a month. Many of them have been adopted by people in America who contribute this amount.

Christmas Cards
A number of our supporters have initiated the splendid project of honoring their friends at Christmas time by sending a gift to the Christian Anti-Communism Crusade on their behalf. From reports we have received, the friends so honored have appreciated this greatly.
We are preparing a Christmas card with a suitable inscription which may be sent to those you wish to honor in this manner. We will dispatch as many of these cards as requested to anyone who wishes to use them.

A Christmas Gift–The Book "You Can Trust the Communists (to be Communists)"
The clothbound edition of the book You Can Trust the Communists (to be Communists) makes a splendid Christmas gift. These are now available at the moderate price of $1, and I will gladly autograph them to anyone requested. Every day letters come in telling of the dramatic consequences that have come to pass when this book is given as a gift. This letter came in today’s mail:

SYRACUSE, NEW YORK: "It may be interesting to you to know that in the first place this book was loaned to me to read by a young Special Forces serviceman. He said that one of his officers in Okinawa had given it to him.
"He is a paratrooper who has worked in the South Viet Nam operation. He is so very concerned by the menace of communism that he talks about it whenever he gets a willing ear–mine, for example.
"My friends have shown such an interest in reading this book.
"I hoped for this result and this is why I ordered them. I find I need more as I haven’t even one of my own."

Conclusion–An Unconscious Tribute from the Enemy
When the leader of the American Communist Party makes a categorical statement that the communists cannot win unless they smash the anti-communist movement within the United States, this is encouraging indeed. Gus Hall did precisely this in a speech published in "The Worker" on Sunday, July 19. Of course, he does not use the term "the anti-communists" but the slander version "the ultra right". He classifies all anti-communists as "ultra right", and he is not alone in this error.
His exact words are, "Can we move towards our goals of peace, of democracy, of economic security, the goal of socialism, without smashing this "ultra right" conspiracy?"
"We do not think it is possible. I has become the central obstacle to all progress."
To translate this form of communist jargon into English, we must realize that to the communists, peace means communist world conquest; democracy means communist dictatorship; and economic security slave labor.
What greater compliment could the communists bestow? We may take heart, redouble our efforts, and look for ever greater victories in the cause of human freedom. In God we trust.

With Christian love,
Fred Schwarz
