| AN ANALYSIS OF THE ARAB-ISRAELI WAR FROM THE COMMUNIST VIEWPOINT Dear Friend: Communism calls itself the “Science” of Marxism—Leninism. The activities of the Soviet Communists in the Near East are directed by this “Science.” The Science of Marxism—Leninism is concerned with the manipulation and utilization of existing forces to achieve the communist objective. THE OBJECTIVE The ultimate communist objective is the establishment of communist dictatorship over the entire area from the Persian Gulf to the Atlantic. This goal may be achieved by stages so intermediate objectives are: (1) The control of the Near East oil. THE FORCES The major force in the Near East is the “People” or the “Masses.” These are generally divided into Jews and Arabs. The communists regard this national division as superficial while the real division is between the classes existing in each country. In each country there is the National Bourgeoisie which owns the means of production, the Petit Bourgeoisie including the farmers and peasants, and the Proletariat or workers. All of these are oppressed (according to communist theory) by the International Bourgeoisie, specifically “American Imperialism.” It should therefore be possible to form a temporary partnership between these three forces to fight the international exploiter. While national divisions are theoretically superficial, the communists acknowledge their existence and power at this stage of history and have shown great skill at exploiting them. The clear—cut national division in the Near East is into Jews and Arabs, and the bitter hatred between these two groups provides an ideal force for communist manipulation. The moral question of the rights and wrongs of the situation simply does not arise. The question is, “Which force is the more powerful and how can it be harnessed?” “Moral attitudes” are tools used in the scientific operation. A cursory survey leads to the conclusion that the Arabs constitute a much more powerful force. They outnumber the Israeli by at least 30 to 1, while their possession of real estate and natural resources, such as oil, is at an even higher ratio. Every effort must therefore be made to establish Soviet influence in every Arab country and to identify Israel as the representative of the enemy “American Imperialism.” To unify the Arab world is a formidable task. There is the great governmental diversity operating in the different countries. Governments include slave—owning monarchies such as that of Saudi—Arabia, military dictatorships such as exist in Algeria, and socialist dictatorships in Egypt and Syria. These governments are usually bitter enemies. Cairo Radio has been conducting an intense propaganda campaign for years urging the assassination of King Hussein of Jordan. The only force capable of uniting these diverse elements is hatred of Israel. THE TOOLS Each individual country is studied and the best program
to establish Soviet influence is selected. The tools available are: 1)
Military weapons, 2) Economic aid, 3) Cultural aid. While the Arab world is being wooed, Israel is not neglected. A Communist Party in Israel is carefully nurtured so that it can be used at the appropriate moment. The time for action seems to have arrived. Nasser needs some dramatic action to reestablish his prestige in the Arab world as the belligerence of the pro-Soviet Syrian government is making him appear halfhearted. His store of weapons and servicemen now seems adequate. America is deeply involved in conflict in Vietnam thousands of miles away and would be reluctant to come to the aid of Israel. Britain and France were bitten in 1956 when they attacked Suez so they are shy of becoming involved. THERMONUCLEAR WAR One “Scientific” necessity for Russia is to avoid thermonuclear war which would result in the loss of all their objectives. The possibility of supporting the Arab strangulation of Israel and the humiliation of the United States without the risk of thermonuclear war appears to exist. THE PLAN Nasser ordered the United Nation’s peacekeeping force from the Gaza strip, and it went like a lamb. Egyptian forces moved to the borders of Israel. Nasser announced that he was imposing a blockade on Israel by the closure of the straits of Tirari in the Gulf of Aqaba. Israel was already denied the use of the Suez Canal. A blockade is an act of war. It was anticipated that endless discussion would now take place in the United Nations while the blockade of Israel continued. Israel would feel deserted by her friends, particularly the United States. The United States would appear as a paper tiger while the entire Arab world would turn in respect and admiration to the Soviet Union. This plan came very close to success. It was shattered by the decisiveness, skill, and gallantry of the Israeli people and their military forces. They decided to act alone, and in a lightning war of 3-days’ duration, they smashed the encircling Arab military forces and simultaneously delivered a smashing blow to Soviet prestige. The friends of the Arabs are asking where the Russian Communists were when the chips were down. The communists never acknowledge defeat. They are skilled at the art of retreat. They are already hard at work trying to use the Assembly of the United Nations to salvage as much of their influence as possible. The situation in the Near East continues to be one subject to the ravages of the “Science” of Marxism—Leninism. America has narrowly escaped a shattering defeat. It should now be clear beyond question that the so- called “Detente” between the Soviet Union and the United States is a tactic designed to achieve American defeat. Constant analysis of the operation of the “Science” of Marxism—Leninism can prevent future ambushes and preserve freedom. RACE WAR IN THE UNITED STATES The notorious chairman of the Student Nonviolent Coordinating
Committee (SNCC), Stokely Carmichael, has resigned to devote his full
time to agitation. The new chairman is H. Rap Brown. The “National Guardian”
of June 10, publishes an interview with Brown which includes the following
significant statements: “America is monolithic politically. There is only one party, and I don’t hesitate to add that that is the white Nazi and racist party, and its only derivatives are the Republican and Democratic Party machinery.” Page 1 “We feel that college students are the answer to our resource problem in SNCC.... and we are going to step up our campus program.” Page 5 CONCLUSION These warnings are ominous and should be taken seriously! It is disappointing that we will not be able to grant
as many scholarships to students and teachers as we had hoped as we have
fallen short of our financial objective by $50,000. We need your help
at this time. Please send a sacrificial donation promptly. This is the
hour to work with all our might for the kingdom of God. Fred Schwarz |
